About the Developers

Kyle Harrington

Kyle Harrington is an independent game developer based in Los Angeles, California. His first dive into the professional world of video games was as a voice actor in The Vanishing of Ethan Carter with The Astronauts. Soon he served as a production assistant and intern for The Brightskull Entertainment Group, working on games such as Tacoma and Anki Overdrive.

In his college years, he attended Chapman University and studied Interactive Media Design and Production. His first VR narrative project "Apartment 17 VR" was featured at Infinity Film Festival 2018 where he was also a panelist. His thesis game "Zorlex Quest" won an award at IEEE GameSIG 2019 for achievement in Narrative Design and Writing.

Most recently, Kyle directed a short film 1932: The Great Emu War and plans to do more shorts in the future. Recently he's also been a developer on the new Twitch webseries Instaquest, which aired July of 2020 and DC Fandome 2020 with Warner Brothers and Double A Studios.

Kyle feels that this project is the product of all that he's experienced and absorbed so far, taking much inspiration and technical knowledge from past projects. He is working at a steady and efficient pace and can't wait to show you more of To My Best Friend, as it is a personal story he is excited to tell.

Zach Jagoda

Zach Jagoda is an Independent Game Developer based in San Francisco, California. This is his first professional project as an Indie Dev.

In his college years, he attended Chapman University and studied Computer Science and Game Development. His culminating school project, a 2D multiplayer speedrunner game named "Leisure Suit Chase Mayhem", won Best In Show and Best Engineered Game at the school's game showcase, and was a semi-finalist at IEEE GameSig in 2018.

In addition to this, Zach has not only worked on a variety of games throughout college, but lead two organizations, Panther Games (the Game Development Club) and Alpha Epsilon Pi (Alpha Omega Chapter). Since graduating in May 2020, Zach has continued to work on games projects, both small and large, while looking to break into the games industry.

Zach took on this role alongside Kyle for To My Best Friend in the hopes to not only expand his skill set and continue learning, but felt that this was the project in which he could show off the experiences he had gained so far, and set an example of how one can always continue to learn something new along the way.
